Window Displays 101

I know I said I’d have more season one previews for you in today’s post, but today is also my birthday… Presently, my stomach is full of French champagne et vino et fois gras, so instead you’re going to see one of many beautiful window displays I’ve seen in the last couple of weeks. I find them so inspiring!

This one is from a very famous macaroon store in Paris… And they taste just as good as they look!

(To allow me my bragging moment, I even ordered them in French – woo!)

Sneaky Street Style – Venice

I mentioned in my “Vogue” interview that I took sneaky street photos of people and things that inspire me for future reference. I thought I’d share one from last night. This woman and her husband were having a rather obvious argument in the middle of Saint Marco, so it didn’t seem an ideal moment to ask for her picture. Ergo, sneaky shot.

I particularly enjoyed the colours she’d chosen, which exuded cool (despite the warmth). The proportions were fantastic too. One of my travelling companions (my husband’s best friend) pointed out that her daughter’s outfit, despite being a bit of a mini-me was actually really cute too.

Spring/Summer 2011 – 2012

Inspiration

Currently in Venice, having spent the last four days seeing Florence, Pisa and the five towns that make up Cinque Terre. Whilst it’s a long way off yet, I’m already feeling inspired for my Spring/Summer 11/12 collection… the weather, the people, the smells and the locations are providing much food for thought.
