Carolina Herrera Wears Bento

Well, okay not quite… but I was flipping through our copy of The Sartorialist (Scott Schuman)’s book over the weekend and was struck by the similarity of this photo taken by him:

Bento Black 'Sophie' Skirt - AW11

Carolina Herrera is often regarded as a style icon (and rightly so). I absolutely love this shot, as it reinforces my belief about a few things:

1. That skirt is timeless. Can you guess when the shot of Carolina was taken?
2. You don’t have to have a body and legs like the exquisite JJ to make it work. I’ve never seen Carolina in real life, but I’m guessing she’s shorter than the 6 foot 3 inches JJ was in those heels. And probably larger than her size-6-Australian-at-most frame. Tell me they don’t look equally amazing.

At the risk of sneaking a gratuitous plug into a blog post… there aren’t many of these skirts left. If you want one, I suggest you hurry up and get yourself to a stockist, or put in a phone call soon – really soon!
